Universal Control |

The UC1 is the new standard
interlock control for Tjernlund's full line of Fixed Speed Power Venters,
Draft Inducers and Combustion Air In-Forcers. It can be interlocked with
virtually any burner control circuit. Features include: adjustable
pre & post purge, LED status / diagnostic indicators, 10 second prover
switch delay to avoid burner start up and wind induced short cycling.
Interlocks with any 24-120 VAC burner control circuit and also includes
“dry” contact actuation option. Selectable voltage eliminates false activation
by burner control circuits. After each burner cycle the UC1 will
continue to operate in post-purge mode to allow the venter to purge the
heater and vent of residual flue gases. A factory post-purge time
is set at 2 minutes and is adjustable up to 16 minutes.

MAC1E MULTIPLE APPLIANCE
CONTROL
Used
in conjunction with the UC1 Universal Control to easily interlock up to
one additional 24 VAC , 115 VAC or millivolt controlled appliance with
Fixed Speed Auto-Draft Inducer
,
Power Venters (Gas,
Oil), Draft Inducers, or
In-forcers. It activates the Venter through its connections to
the UC1 and in turn relies on the UC1 Fan Prover safety circuit (P1 &
P2) to allow its interlocked appliances to operate. Any
pre/post-purge settings on the UC1 will be defaulted to the MAC1E. The
MAC1E puts an end to difficult and costly job site wiring nightmares.
Circuit board housed in oversized 18 gauge electrical box with multiple
knock-outs for easy wiring connections.

WHKE
MILLIVOLT INTERLOCK KIT FOR USE WITH UC1 CONTROL
For use with the UC1 Universal
Control, MAC1E or MAC4E auxiliary controls. The WHKE gas pressure
switch actuates the Inducer /Venter through the A-B dry contacts on UC1,
MAC1E or MAC4E. The Linear Limit switch disables the heater in the
event of a venting malfunction. Includes JA1 thermocouple junction
adapter. To interlock millivolt water heater(s) only with a UC1 controlled
Inducer / Venter add a WHKE for each millivolt heater. To interlock
a millivolt water heater and one 24/115 VAC furnace or boiler with a UC1
controlled Inducer / Venter, add a WHKE and a MAC1E. |

WHK-I
MILLIVOLT INTERLOCK KIT

all necessary hardware to interlock a

Oil) or Draft Inducer to an instantaneous

NOTE: This
kit will work with the UC1 control, however, the WHKE is recommended. |

MILLIVOLT INTERLOCK KIT

The
WHK-2 is used to interlock a millivolt controlled water heater of up to
120,000 BTU/hr with a Power Venters
(Gas, Oil)
or Draft Inducer. Kit includes: Gas
Solenoid Valve and Linear Limit Switch safety interlock to provide 100%
safety shut down if a venting malfunction occurs, Gas Pressure Switch,
Post Purge Timer/Relay and Control Cables necessary for interlock.
NOTE:
The WHK-2 is not compatible with the UC1 Universal Control or MAC1E &
MAC4E Multiple Appliance Controls.

Series Side Wall Vent Hoods

Specially
designed to terminate Tjernlund Side
Wall Vent Systems (Gas,
Oil). They are also an approved method of
terminating many horizontally vented appliances. Vent hoods feature
heavy duty, corrosion resistant aluminum construction. Models VH1-3,
4 and 6 also have an additional heat shield for built in clearances from
combustibles. Building exteriors are kept clean while the aesthetics
of the structure remain undisturbed. All mounting hardware is included. |

This single acting control is made of
corosion resistant steel for low maintenance and corrosion resistance. It has integral anchor points
and self- aligning, self-centering rocker bearings
for long lasting service. A cushioned stop
minimizes rattle and noise. Adjustment is easily accomplished
by moving counter weight on outside tab. |

The Problem:
Heating appliances are designed to
operate with a consistent draft. Chimney
configurations, mechanical draft fans
and weather can cause draft fluctuations.
These fluctuations result in inefficient
combustion and more frequent service
calls. |

The Solution:
Draft controls regulate the airflow through
a chimney or vent. By diluting the
chimney/vent draft with varying amounts
of room air they maintain the draft at a
heater's flue outlet within a consistent,
safe and efficient range. |
